♥️ Root chakra ♥️⁠

⁠This is the first chakra of the seven main chakras. It's located at the base of the spine/pelvis floor. When people speak of being grounded or ungrounded, this is the chakra they are referring to. ⁠

⁠When you are grounded or in balance, you feel present, in your body, safe and fearless. When ungrounded or out of balance, you might feel disconnected from your body, lethargic or restless, unsafe or lacking in survival basic needs.⁠

⁠My favorite way to get back into balance is to get out into nature. Whether it's walking through the trees, swimming in or walking near the water, being in wide open fields or taking your shoes off and walking barefoot in the dirt, connecting with nature is a sure fire way to get you grounded.⁠

⁠Other ways are through mantras. The root manta is "I am". ⁠

- I am safe⁠
- I am abundant⁠
- I have everything I need⁠
- I am healthy⁠
- I am worthy⁠

⁠Food can also help. Since the color red is associated with the root chakra, eat lots of red fruits and veggies, along with nuts, seeds and root veggies, such as yams and potatoes. ⁠
